To be brief, I see an excellent and very original portrayal of the concept of the free thinkers. What stands out to me most is the numerous empty shells versus only two full and "free" shells, and the truth behind this ratio of captive and liberated beings. Also, I like that the nuts at the center of both of the full shells are heart shaped, a perhaps non-deliberate, yet very appropriate visual that those of us who celebrate our creative individuality, as well as our imaginations and daydreams, can appreciate. Wonderful piece in concept and coloring as well as in execution.
First of all, I love the subject matter that you've chosen to capture. Not only to the seeds provide symbolism to life and youth, but also the empty shells on the left hand side, which are life with the absence of vitality. Very powerful images.
Secondly, I like the technique of choosing colours. The earth brown tone allows the viewer to focus more on the texture of the seeds and shells. The texture is very nicely captured, tempting the viewer to reach into his or her computer screen to feel the roughness of the shells at their finger tips.
Lastly, the juxtaposition of the two full seeds with the pile of empty shells has a great impact on me. I feel that the couple of seeds represent vitality and those who let themselves dream, while the empty shells are those who are without dreams, or those who had their dreams taken away from them.

Overall, this is a very well done piece.
